Pink Pig & Santa

Last week Shug and I went with our friends Robyn, Sarah and new baby Carson to Lenox for some holiday fun. Our first stop was the Pink Pig. This was both mine and Shug's first time riding! After all the years in Atlanta - I can't believe I had never gone before!

After waiting in line and then riding the Pink Pig - the girls were definitely ready for some Chik-Fil-A - but we had one more stop to make first...

Shug LOVES Santa and went right up to him full of hugs and smiles. I was so proud!

Telling him her wish list...

Shug and Sarah were so cute. They walked all through the mall holding hands like this.

All in all, a great day at the mall! But when is it not????
Merry Christmas!

2-year old checkup!

On Monday I took Shug to see Dr. Beckford for her 2-year checkup. I am happy to say that we got a great report! She is a healthy, happy baby which is all any parents can ask for - we are really so blessed. She is truly the joy of our lives and we love her so much! Here are the stats from this visit:
Height - 35.5 inches - 97%
Weight - 33 lbs. & 2 oz. - 97%
Head - 49.5 cm - 97%
Here are a few pics from the day...
On our way to the pediatrician's office with my 2 YEAR OLD!!!

Doing a happy dance waiting for "Doc".

With her 2nd favorite :) pediatrician - the fabulous Dr. Beckford!

She was such a good girl when they pricked her toe, that she got a lollipop. (which she got all over her face and hands on the way home - and then fell asleep with it stuck to her leg. lovely.)

All in all, a great day!

August - Labor Day (158 photos), by Megan Williams

Hey ya'll! Here are a BUNCH of pics from the last several weeks - hope you enjoy! (Aubrey I know you hate when i link from Snapfish due to laziness - but with this many pics there was no sorting and picking favorites. Guess you will have to grin and bear it this time :)
We are still squeezing out the last few days at the pool - and of course the last few margaritas as Summer officially comes to an end. Looking forward to a great Fall and hope to see you all soon!
Love,
Meg

Pink Toes!

Shug got her very first pedicure! Sally Hansen #409 - "Shrimply Divine" - a dashing hot pink color. This is such a monumentous occasion in a young girl's life...

And she slept through the whole thing... :)

Middle of Summer (88 photos), by Megan Williams

Happy Summer! I hope you are all staying cool and having fun. We certainly have been. It has been a busy summer so far - with a beach trip, trips to Honey & Toppy's house, undercover missions at Carrie Underwood's wedding (yes - Matt and I tried to crash the rehearsal dinner :), and my sprint triathalon. But it is not over yet! We plan to enjoy it to the very last drop! We still have Shug's birthday, an "adult's only concert", and another beach trip before this margarita season is declared "over". So stay tuned!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the daddy's out there! We had a great weekend celebrating with our favorite daddy around here. Friday night Matt had a little daddy/daughter time while I went to my neighborhood bunko group. Saturday, we all had breakfast together and then went to our annual neighborhood Luau Pool Party. As you can see - it was a blast! At the end, the ice cream truck came around and all of the little children swarmed - literally - to get their treats. Shug picked a tweety bird popsicle and enjoyed every last bite...
Sunday, we celebrated the big day with Matt by taking him to church, and then to one of his favorite restaurants, (not anymore after the extremely slow service today) Ribs, Etc. Then we had a pool play date with our friends, the Veazey's - one of our favorite families - before Matt headed off to his tennis match. When he got back, we let him pick whatever he wanted for dinner - anything at all. And he picked....Zaxby's!!! That's right - of all things! So off I went to get his gourmet meal. Got to love that simplicity, right?
As I type this now - the Williams' daddy is passed out asleep. So I would say - all in all - he had a pretty good Father's Day. Hope you did too! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Bieber Fever!

Yes - that's right - we have been struck with a bad case of Bieber Fever in our house. (For those of you who don't know what that is - WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? But I will help you out. Justin Bieber. The new teen heartthrob.) We are obsessed. Every time I put "Baby, Baby, Baby" on - no joke - Shug starts bouncing and dancing around the kitchen - as do I. :)
This is Shug and me doing a little performance for Daddy last night. You can pretty much catch our act most nights of the week. Tickets are free. The venue is located at the Williams' house. Parking is limited - so come early. And the show ends about 8:30 when one of the performers leaves the stage to go to bed.

May 2010 (39 photos), by Megan Williams

I'm back! Summer has started off with a bang for the Williams clan. With playdates galore, trips to Honey and Toppy's house - he has been renamed :) -dinner with friends, anniversary celebrations, lots of swimming, piano playing, peanut butter eating, and Cinco de Mayo - I feel like it will be Fall before we know it! However - there is much more fun in the sun to be had and we plan on having it. Hope all is well with all of you. Happy June!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

We had a fun-filled Cinco de Mayo and I hope you did too! After a play date with our pals Robyn and Sarah Feather, Daddy came and home and took us out for some Mexican food at our local Mexican restaurant - Los Bravos. We met some of his coworkers from his new department there and had a great time. Shug was wired when we got home and had a great time playing "parent" while Daddy played "child". She read him a story on the couch while he played with her crayon on the floor. She thougt this was very funny. She finally wore herself out and crashed on the floor! What a day! Hope you had as much fun as we did!

Sign of things to Come?

So I have noticed recently that Shug has been "dressing herself up" with various items around the house. She absolutely LOVES hats and basically anything she can dress up in. Is this a sign of things to come? Is she a little fashionista in the making? She certainly has her own style! See pictures. And - I promise you - she put these together all by herself. (The funniest being the apron and mitts. I literally turned around from the sink and she had them on - all by herself...pretty good!)

about darn time...

well...i have had many friends politely "suggest" - thank you aubrey - that i enter the world of blogging - so here i go. head first. a little about me: i tend to ramble, and be long winded. so any family members of mine may wish to log off right now. no offense taken. what you will miss out on: some definite ramblings - i will not lie - but hopefully some insights into my life. and if you have already traveled this part of terrain in yours, then maybe you will reminisce with me. if you have this course ahead of you - maybe, just maybe - i can provide some choice pieces of advice for you that i have picked up along this road of life. either way - i hope this can be a fruitful relationship over keyboards and interwebs...had to throw that last bit in for the techies!

anyway - on to my theme...about darn time. it was about darn time for me to start this blog. it is about darn time for me to clean out my closet - but did sloane's instead - she has less clothes :) it was about darn time for us to do some yard work today, until the monsoons came through and forced us inside all day. it was about darn time for us to go for a run tonight after the storms - until it started raining again and forced us to stay in again - and hear my phone ring. it was about darn time to get the phone call i had been dreading for weeks. my best friend pam had finally died tonight. we had been waiting on that call. about darn time for her to be out of pain...

funny how time works. it's about darn time for us to start making the best of it - EVERY SINGLE DAY.
